DAY ART PRESENTS
Short Film, Documentary
Day Art Presents is a curated series of artist profiles commissioned by Day Art Gallery, designed to offer audiences a quiet, observational look into the creative process.
Each film was shot on location in the Blue Mountains, with the goal of capturing not just what the artists make, but why they make it — revealing the personal moments of inspiration, solitude, and practice behind the work.
We wanted the films to feel immersive and present — like viewers were stepping into each artist’s world for a moment.
The series follows three distinct creatives
Jane Canfield // A painter, drawing from memory, snapshots, and feeling
Harold David // A photographer, finding beauty in the everyday
Johnny K // An open-air landscape artist, reinterpreting the natural world with brush and canvas
Each piece was approached as a standalone visual essay resulting in thoughtful portraits that reflect the deeply personal nature of creative work.
